1. Who is agreeing with whom
These terms apply between you and meinTechniker, owner Vincent Jungmann, Neugasse 44, 67487 Maikammer, Germany (“we”) for the use of the Glotz app and this website. By installing the app you accept them.
2. What Glotz is
Glotz is a player. The app connects to an IPTV subscription that you provide, organises the titles available there, and presents them.
Expressly not part of this agreement:
- providing films, series or television channels
- brokering, selling or recommending IPTV subscriptions
- any promise that a particular title is available or will play
We have no business relationship with providers of such subscriptions and receive no payment from them.
3. Your responsibility
You are responsible for ensuring that the subscription you enter was obtained lawfully and that you are entitled to use the content reachable through it. We do not check this and technically cannot. Using the app to access content without the necessary rights is prohibited.
4. Free use and subscriptions
The core features of Glotz are free to use. Features beyond that are grouped into the Premium and Ultimate tiers and offered as an auto-renewing subscription.
- Purchase, billing and renewal run through your Apple Account in the App Store. Your contractual partner for the payment is Apple.
- The subscription renews automatically for the chosen term unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends.
- You can cancel at any time in your Apple Account settings. Cancelling through us is technically not possible.
- Family subscriptions apply through App Store Family Sharing for up to six people in the same family group.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s conditions.
The scope of a tier is the one described in the app and on this website. Features marked there as in progress are not owed.
5. Right of withdrawal
For a purchase through the App Store, the statutory right of withdrawal applies towards Apple as your contractual partner for the payment. The details and its exercise follow Apple’s conditions.
6. Licence
We grant you a simple, non-transferable right to use the app on the devices associated with your Apple Account, for your own purposes. Reverse engineering, modifying and redistributing the app are not permitted except where the law mandates otherwise.
7. Availability
We aim for reliable operation but owe no particular availability. Whether and how quickly content plays depends largely on your provider and your connection, both outside our influence.
8. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. For ordinary negligence we are liable only for the breach of a material contractual obligation, an obligation whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose observance you may regularly rely, and limited in amount to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Liability under the German Product Liability Act remains unaffected.
9. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms where legally or technically necessary, or where the scope of the app changes. We will inform you in the app about changes that disadvantage you; if you do not object within 30 days, they are deemed accepted.
10. Governing law
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of habitual residence remain unaffected.
11. Apple as third-party beneficiary
This agreement is between you and us, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and owes no support. Apple is entitled to enforce this agreement against you as a third-party beneficiary.
12. Account and waitlist on the website
On glotz.xyz you may optionally create an account, join the waitlist and apply for a TestFlight seat. There is no entitlement to an invitation; seats are allocated in order of joining and availability. You are responsible for keeping your password secret and can delete the account yourself at any time. The account is not required to use the app.
The browser preview at glotz.xyz/app shows the interface with sample data and trailers. It plays no content from your provider and is not part of any promised service.
